G

iswil is a small town south of Lucerne with a population of about 3600 people, close to the Lungern, Meiringen and Sörenberg winter sports areas, and with a modest winter sports area locally known as Morlialp. It has a couple of restaurants, one chairlift, several surface lifts, a children's play area, a toboggan run and some pleasant winter and snowshoe walks. The station is on the very scenic Brünig line that runs from Lucerne to Interlaken, via Meiringen.
